Welcome to a glimpse into my world as we navigate through the month together! Join me as I share my gaming thoughts, behind-the-scenes moments, recent happenings, and the everyday joys and challenges of life with Tara and our mischievous cat squad.
This week (starting May 8th) has been quite eventful. We had big plans, including collaborations with other streamers on Hell Let Loose, and plenty of work happening behind the scenes. But then, a twist of fate struck when Virgin Media decided to play spoiler and cut off our internet. Can you believe it? They jacked up the price of our package without any warning, and we simply refused to pay it without a valid reason. Our attempts to reason with them were like arguing with a stubborn fence post, but we gave it a shot anyway. In an unexpected turn of events, Virgin Media actually canceled our internet altogether. The icing on the cake? Reconnecting our existing package with them would cost more than signing up as new customers. Go figure!
For three long days, we found ourselves without internet. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, though, as it gave us the opportunity to focus on planning, editing, tweaking, and setting up everything that needed to be done before the highly anticipated “LAUNCH DAY.” With azzey.uk set to go live on June 1st, those days were a crucial part of our productive marathon. Floyd, our feline companion, was not too pleased with the lack of screen time during that period. But fret not, he gets extra love on Patreon!
I can’t help but notice the chatter on social media about a supposed gaming drought. However, as someone who enjoys exploring various game genres, I feel like I’m swimming in a sea of exciting possibilities. Imagine being confined to just one genre or worse, a single game! The beauty of gaming lies in the escape, the freedom, and the incredible communities that form within each game.
Speaking of games, there’s so much to look forward to. With massive updates coming to V Rising, the distant arrival of Diablo 4, and a multitude of MMOs slated for release this year, my only complaint is that there aren’t enough hours in the day to fully immerse myself in them all!
Once our internet was finally restored by Virgin Media (phew!), I was eager to dive into gaming. However, I found myself paralyzed by the sheer number of choices before me. Can you relate?
This week marked a busy period for us. We were putting the final touches on our website, adding more limited-edition merch to the store, and ensuring everything was ready to roll. Thursday, the 18th, was the big day! We unveiled our new website, announced our partnership with Humble Bundle on Patreon, and brought back the beloved Azzcast Podcast. Exciting times lie ahead!
We’ve already secured our first guest for the Azzcast, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. DannehTV, a fellow gamer and MMO enthusiast, will be joining us on the show. We’ll dive into the world of MMOs, chat about his recent addition to the family (a future MMO gamer, perhaps?), and explore his project of turning a campervan into a mobile gaming and streaming hub. Mark your calendars: Azzcast will be live and unedited on Monday, June 5th, exclusively for our ‘All-Access Pass’ Pledgers on Patreon. If you miss the live show, catch the edited version on my YouTube channel on Friday, June 9th.
Our week wasn’t just filled with digital adventures. While I prepared to conquer the garden with hedge trimmers, Tara packed her bags for an exciting cruise to the Fjords (lucky her!). It’s been a whirlwind of a week, both on and off the computer.
Fast forward to the next busy week, where we focused on preparing for the launch of V Rising’s latest FREE DLC, “The Secrets of Gloomrot.” The trailers alone left us in awe, and the game’s improved performance, additional content, and fantastic boss battles surpassed our expectations. It’s safe to say we’ve been grinding away in the game, sacrificing sleep for epic quests and levelling up our characters.
On a personal note, I found myself feeling under the weather over the weekend. Experiencing bouts of dizziness, cold sweats, and overheating, I had no choice but to retreat to bed at 5 PM on a Saturday evening. Life of the party, right? Even the cats seem grumpy, eagerly awaiting Tara’s return so we can all eat together and share stories of how much we missed her.
After some discussions during my stream, we narrowed down the possible causes to either age-related vertigo or excessive nicotine intake from my vape. Now, I’m keeping a close eye on my vape usage and gradually reducing it to ensure it doesn’t impact my health. Fingers crossed that the dizziness subsides soon!
What a week it has been, both in the garden and inside our home. I spent hours wielding a hedge trimmer, taming the unruly hedges and plants that dared to stand in my way. Then, I embarked on a mission to bag all the trimmings, but alas, I ran out
of bags! Nevertheless, progress was made, and we’re slowly transforming the garden.
Amidst the chaos, Ozzy, one of our cats, kept me entertained by presenting me with various types of rodents around 3 AM. Trust me, waking up to the silent Benny Hill chase upstairs is an eventful experience, to say the least!
The week without Tara was rather lonely. Her laughter fills the nights, and I consider myself lucky to savour the delightful culinary creations she conjures in our kitchen. Not having her around meant indulging in some “beige” foods like pies, pasta, and maybe a pizza or two. I missed our Greek food nights and the taco feasts, but let’s be honest, a cheese night in this heat would have been a challenge!
Due to my dizziness while playing V Rising, we took the plunge (much to Meldj’s delight) and ventured into Rust for the first time. Now, we all know Rust has its fair share of toxicity, but I am genuinely amazed by the game’s depth and attention to detail.
And to think I’ve only scratched the surface at 20%! It’s been an eye-opening experience so far, and I’m eager to delve deeper, learn more about progression and base building, and engage in more PvP encounters. If you have any tips, don’t hesitate to drop by the stream and share your wisdom—I’ll need it!

This morning, as we eagerly await Tara’s return, I made sure to tidy up the house and surprise her with some flowers. She’s finally back home, taking a well-deserved weekend of relaxation after a busy cruise filled with activities. We plan to beat the scorching heat by staying indoors, lounging in front of fans, and attending to various household tasks. However, I managed to get my hands on my brother’s GoPro, so IRL (in real life) content is back on the agenda. I’m thrilled about the possibilities of IRL streams and videos, where I can venture outside, breathe in the fresh air, and share the stunning landscapes Wales has to offer with all of you.
As we enter the final week of the month, I feel invigorated and excited. Rust has captivated us, and I’m thoroughly enjoying the base building and strategic defense against other players. Plus, I’m eager to explore the electrical aspects of the game, a realm I’ve never ventured into before.
Tara has settled back into her “normal” routine with work, and our sleep schedule is getting back on track. Ozzy, ever the perceptive cat, realizes Tara’s return means he doesn’t need to present me with nightly “food” offerings anymore. However, Floyd has taken over the task and started bringing birds during the day, even on stream! It’s a wild adventure in our household, that’s for sure.
On top of everything else, we’ve recently started collaborating with MMO-Wiki, a fantastic website that provides information on the latest game releases, comprehensive guides, and interactive maps that are constantly updated. Working with their team is truly exciting, and I can’t wait to see what we create together as we explore all these new games coming out.
As Diablo’s launch approaches, I’m entrusting chat to help shape my character, allowing them to guide me toward greatness—or perhaps hilarious incompetence. It’s going to be an event to remember!
Reflecting on May, I must say it has been an incredible month. Our brand has made significant progress, and working with MMO-Wiki has opened new doors for us. The streams have been filled with an energetic and positive vibe, thanks to the amazing community we’ve built. Your support and presence have played a pivotal role in shaping me into a better person throughout this journey.
Thank you for joining me on this adventure, and here’s to even more exciting times ahead!
