From Rust to BattleBit: Catching Up, Birthday Fun & Exciting Plans Ahead!

Oh, wow! Can you believe how quickly this year is flying by? It feels like just yesterday we were launching the website, and the blog page, and sharing all my secrets in the About section. Time really does fly when you’re having fun!

This past week has been a whirlwind. Our website timer decided to have a mind of its own and broke, causing the website to open earlier than planned. It was a frantic and panicked morning as the mods and I scrambled to fix it. But hey, sometimes unexpected hiccups make for interesting stories, right? Speaking of interesting stories, Rust is still an absolute blast to play. We decided to challenge ourselves by venturing into Solo-only servers with high boosts to practice the early stages of the game. It was tough, but we learned so much along the way. Rust truly is a game that keeps you on your toes!

In real life, we’ve been dealing with some health concerns. Tara has been experiencing a drop in appetite, lack of energy, and other symptoms that pointed to possible anaemia. It’s not exactly something to celebrate, but the fact that we’re moving in the right direction for a diagnosis is definitely a positive step. She has some blood tests coming up, and hopefully, we’ll get more answers soon.

On a brighter note, I managed to get my hands on an old GoPro! This means I’ll be able to take you all on hiking streams and create vlogs for YouTube even when my phone isn’t available. I’m really excited about this and can’t wait to share some amazing outdoor adventures with you. Just need a few more pieces of equipment to ensure we capture everything in high quality.

Now let’s talk about Diablo! The game has launched into early access, and let me tell you, it’s a whole new level of fun, beauty, and depth. I’m still exploring and experimenting with different builds and playstyles for each character. Currently, we’re in the mid-40s and getting close to unlocking World Tier 3. I have a feeling there will be many challenging battles ahead, but I’m ready for the adventure!

Guess what? Azzcast is making a return this week, and it’ll be live on YouTube for all Tier 2 patrons and above. We’ve got some exciting guests lined up, and I can’t wait to dive into some fascinating discussions about gaming, guitars, coffee, and more. These episodes are always a blast, and I’m grateful to have such talented individuals adding value to the Azzey brand.

As for our personal lives, Tara and I have entered the “it’s too damn hot” phase. The temperatures are soaring, and we find ourselves going to bed ridiculously early to escape the heat. Thankfully, our bedroom, being in an upside-down house, offers some respite from the sweltering weather. It’s a small victory in these scorching times!

We’re also making plans for vlogs and exploring different parts of Wales. We’re even considering making some diet changes and focusing on our health since sitting at a computer for long hours and getting older have taken a toll on us. It’s time to prioritize our well-being, and who knows, maybe I’ll take you all on that journey with me.

Can you believe it? It’s my birthday week already! Time really does fly, doesn’t it? Diablo has been keeping me hooked, especially with the new Rogue build. I must admit, I find myself chugging more potions and taking more hits with this playstyle, but the fast-paced zipping and zooming are worth it. However, I’m starting to realize that melee combat might not be my forte in Diablo. But hey, we all have our strengths and weaknesses!

This week has been a gaming extravaganza! From grinding in Diablo to the release of BattleBit, I’ve had a fantastic time. BattleBit gave me a good fix for first-person shooter action, but it made me realize how much I miss the immersive graphics and cinematic experiences of games like Battlefield. We’re truly spoiled by the eye-pleasing visuals and engaging cutscenes in today’s gaming world.

On my birthday, we had an incredible stream where I hung out with the entire community. It was an absolute blast, and I’m considering doing a long stream with some incentives or goals to make it even more memorable. However, I want to make sure Tara’s birthday takes priority, so we’ll plan it after her celebration. She deserves to use me as a slave on her special day, and I wouldn’t want anything to dampen the stream or the vibes.

So, I’m open to ideas and suggestions for the upcoming stream. If you have any thoughts or things you’d like to see, feel free to let me know. You can DM me or drop your comments below. I value your input, and there’s no wrong answer… well, maybe I’ll regret saying that, but let’s see where it takes us!

Picture of a large burger from Hills BreconTara and I finally made it to HILLS Brecon, the Burger Restaurant I’ve been raving about for nearly three years. She finally gave in to my constant nagging, and we took our FTO out for a drive to get there. It was scorching outside, and the lack of AC in the car meant we had to resort to sticking our heads out of the window like dogs on a road trip. But let me tell you, the burger was absolutely mind-blowing! It easily ranks as the best burger I’ve ever had, and now I can’t wait to go back and try more options from their menu. We even filmed our day out and made a YouTube video out of it. I’m still learning about filming orientation, sound quality, and stabilization, but we’re getting there.

The weekend was all about catching up. I had fallen behind on articles for MMO-Wiki, and I wanted to get ahead to ensure we’re providing the latest updates and capturing the audience’s attention. It’s been a lot of work, but having a strict timetable and schedule has definitely helped. Things will get easier as we move forward.

Finally, I managed to catch up on MMO-Wiki articles, thanks in large part to the MMO team. Moving forward, we’re aiming to post articles at a more time-critical rate to compete with other companies that report the latest news, tips, tricks, and guides. It’s all about staying ahead of the game and providing you with the most relevant and up-to-date content.

Balancing streaming, working on MMO-Wiki articles, editing and creating YouTube videos, and maintaining high-quality Patreon content has been a bit challenging. I’m not the best at keeping time, but I’m determined to make it work. The streams have been an absolute blast, especially with BattleBit. However, I’ve noticed that games like BattleBit can be more lurk-heavy, meaning there’s less interaction with viewers. I’ve always valued and built a community based on engagement and interaction, so finding the right balance is crucial. I can’t force people to speak up, but I want to ensure that our communication and interaction on the stream remain vibrant and enjoyable.

It was Tara’s birthday this week, and with your incredible support across the streams, Patreon, and YouTube channel, I was able to spoil her. I got her some products she had been eyeing, and the cats even got her some lovely presents too! To celebrate, we went to a recently opened French restaurant in Cardiff called Maison De Boeuf. Tara had her heart set on trying their French onion soup, and the entire meal was simply delightful. The restaurant’s decor, ambience, and dim lighting created a perfect atmosphere for us to commemorate Tara’s birthday. I have to admit, the meal was probably even better than the burger we had earlier!

Looking ahead, there are so many exciting things on the horizon. Through my work on MMO-Wiki, I’ve kept myself updated on upcoming games and significant changes in newly released titles. We’re keeping a close eye on several games and hope to jump

into some of them during our streams. Tarisland, a Chinese version of WoW without any pay-to-win elements, is having a beta on the 27th, and we’re eager to give it a try.

We recently played It Takes Two with Danneh, and I can’t believe I hadn’t played it until now. The game’s story and design were an absolute pleasure, and I hope everyone enjoyed it during the stream. It was a reminder that not every game needs to be competitive; sometimes, cooperative puzzle games can bring just as much joy and excitement. I appreciate all the game recommendations you’ve given me, and I’m looking forward to exploring more co-op titles.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all our new Patreon pledges and express my gratitude for your continued support. We’re pushing out more content from every angle we can, and seeing the community we’ve built together fills me with immense joy.

June has been a whirlwind of different genres of games, from the immersive world of Diablo to the thrilling battles in BattleBit. Although I absolutely loved the story and the grind in Diablo, I’ve decided to stream it less frequently because there’s little room for growth within the game. I’ll continue playing games I enjoy, but I also want to explore a wider variety and not get stuck sinking countless hours into a single game.

This leads me to Only Up, an infuriating, enjoyable, and oddly calming game. I’m usually not drawn to these types of games, but something about Only Up sets my competitive nature on fire. I might not be a speedrunner, but I can compete with myself, right? If you haven’t tried Only Up yet, it’s currently on sale on Steam. Just be warned, it might test your patience and make you a bit angry, but it’s worth the challenge!

It Takes Two was an absolute delight, and I’m genuinely excited about exploring more co-op puzzle games. The recommendations from our community have been fantastic, and I can’t wait to dive into them.

BattleBit has provided me with immense joy, despite its graphics not being as advanced as other games. I’ve missed engaging in large-scale battles and pushing to win or climb the scoreboards. In fact, it’s made me reminisce about the good old Battlefield days, which I secretly miss more than I care to admit. Soon, we’ll compare Battlefield 2042 with BattleBit and see which one I genuinely prefer.

With Tara’s and my birthdays behind us, the next few months offer a lot of freedom when it comes to game choice. We have some new titles and updates on the horizon, and I’m particularly excited about our upcoming hiking streams. I can’t wait to get out there, although I haven’t had a chance to do so yet. And mark your calendars because we’re planning our first meet-up in July! The 29th and 30th will be an incredible opportunity for us to finally meet in person. I’m thrilled to have the chance to show you all that I’m not actually a 4ft hobbit! It’s going to be an absolute blast, and I can’t wait to make unforgettable memories with each and every one of you.

Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. Stay tuned for more exciting content and adventures ahead!
