June was a month of plans, changes, and birthdays!
We kicked off June with Arma Reforger, creating DVL Montages and launching the Arma Moments series. This weekly series allows anyone to submit clips for future episodes, aiming to boost Arma Reforger’s visibility despite its niche status and struggle with viewership on Twitch and YouTube. Although it competes with games like Hell Let Loose and Squad, it remains a quiet category with limited channels thriving.
To diversify, we ventured into other games, including Rust, much to Meldj’s delight. Rust is a deep and challenging survival game, and with only about 60 hours of Gameplay, I was quite the novice. Fortunately, the wonderful DoubleDstroyer, a former Escape From Tarkov creator, joined me. Despite our initial plan failing due to bush campers, teams of ten, and griefers, we eventually found a location, built a base, and had an amazing wipe. You can catch the streams on Twitch if you missed it!
June also brought birthdays and Father’s Day! My birthday on June 15th was a relaxed day with family, capped off by streaming an Arma Tournament. Father’s Day followed with a joint birthday-Father’s Day meal at an Italian restaurant, celebrating with Tara and my dad. So you can guess I was happy with that decision! A lovely meal with great people and I even had left overs to last me through the day! Because who doesn’t love cold pizza?
Tara’s birthday came quickly. I’m usually terrible with birthdays, but this year I had presents ready and a plan. Despite one present not fitting (oops!), she loved the others. We spent the day at a small farm/zoo, interacting with various animals like meerkats, porcupines, and goats. It was an incredible experience and surprisingly affordable.
Overall, June was a great month with lots happening behind the scenes, as shared on Patreon. We made good progress on YouTube, especially with Rust videos.
To top it off, we hit the Plus Program incentive on Twitch! Achieving the target for three consecutive months means we’ll enjoy a better revenue split for the next year. I’m overwhelmed by the support and grateful to everyone on Twitch, YouTube, Discord, and Patreon.
Thank you!
