Scottish Sunshine, The Unheard and Projects

May has been a very busy month, filled with streams, recording videos, and a hectic life at home with cleaning and repairs. We also celebrated my mother’s 69th birthday!

Let’s start from the beginning. May kicked off with the release of Gray Zone Warfare. Although I felt the game was released a bit too early, it had fantastic potential from the start. Its focus on Player vs. Environment (PvE) appealed to many players. However, I prefer Player vs. Player (PvP) games for the sense of competition they offer.

The developers of Gray Zone have been impressive, constantly implementing hot fixes and pushing out new content while maintaining excellent communication. It’s refreshing to see such dedication.

ArmA has completely taken over my life. The game offers so much, and it’s astounding that it’s not even a full release yet. From mil-sim role-playing and combat to dressing up in pajamas and holding hostages, the game has been an absolute blast. Matt from WCS has been incredibly helpful, providing insights and tips for the Worst Case Scenario servers.

The Worst Case Scenario team is genuinely awesome. After almost four years in this environment, it’s surprising to find a player base and moderation team that are so welcoming.

Editing stories, cinematics, and tutorials is in full swing. ArmA’s Game Master mode has been a huge help, allowing for unique camera angles and effects in our videos. I’ve always had ideas for cinematic shots and angles but lacked the tools or skills to execute them in other games like Escape From Tarkov.

Speaking of Escape From Tarkov, where do I even start? The developer, known for poor communication and disinterest in his own product, released a “limited edition” pack similar to Edge of Darkness but with new features for an absurd amount of money. Co-op Tarkov? Sure, just drop £500 for two players to play together. The prices were amended after a Twitter backlash, but it was still crazy.

The fire grew with the release of Arena Breakout, a mobile edition of Tarkov recreated for PC. Now, with some competition, Tarkov’s natural behavior has surfaced, including calling other companies names on Twitter to farm engagement over potential use of Tarkov’s assets.

I’m glad I’m not completely reliant on Escape From Tarkov any more.

The Scotland meetup finally arrived! It was my first time flying in almost a decade, and I was nervous, but we made it safely. We enjoyed great food, drinks, and amazing times with the community. Scotland had fantastic weather with blue skies and hardly a cloud in sight. We walked so much my feet hurt, and we laughed enough to give me a six-pack for a few days! We loved the meetup and are already planning the next ones. One is planned to be abroad, as I need a holiday in the sun!

To close the month, I faced some health issues, mainly trouble sleeping. I’m constantly thinking about changing assets on stream, recording videos, writing scripts, and creating new graphics for socials. I hope some Valerian tea helps me fall asleep faster because some days I feel like a walking zombie.

June is both Tara’s and my birthday month, so let’s have a fantastic month of video projects and series, filled with laughter from start to finish!
