As October unfolded, it seemed as if life took on a mind of its own. Busy doesn’t even begin to describe it – stress and chaos were the order of the day. It’s been a rollercoaster ride, filled with challenges and unexpected twists. In the realm of our everyday lives, we grappled with the daunting task of finding affordable car insurance. It felt like we were caught in a never-ending loop of high premiums draining our resources. But this year, something changed. We crossed the threshold of 30, leaving behind the ghosts of our past mistakes. The result? A ray of hope, and a new policy that was a fraction of the cost. A victory worth celebrating!
Then came the ongoing saga of PC troubles. It’s been a journey riddled with frustration and moments of defeat. Yet, with the addition of the latest CPU cooler, there’s a glimmer of stability. The heart of my digital world beats a little steadier, though occasional GPU hiccups remind me every day that the battle is not yet won.
Last weekend, we embarked on the monumental task of a winter clean. It was a two-day marathon, filled with bags upon bags of items to sort through. But as we stand on the cusp of completion, the sense of accomplishment is palpable. Even my keyboard received a thorough cleansing, each cap removed and meticulously cleaned. Ever tried typing blind? It’s an experience, to say the least!
The world of gaming has been a kaleidoscope of experiences lately. From the gritty landscapes of Tarkov to the sun-drenched shores of New World, every virtual adventure holds a unique charm. Rust brought heart-pounding survival, while World of Warcraft beckoned with its latest expansion. And now, there’s Lords of the Fallen, a dark and captivating journey that promises more thrills ahead.
This month’s AzzCast was a true highlight. We were joined by OneDeltaStreet, a dear friend, mentor, and source of inspiration. It’s a privilege to share the insights and wisdom of someone who played a pivotal role in my early days as a content creator. Look out for the condensed version on YouTube, a treasure trove of invaluable advice for budding creators.
Post-AzzCast, a wave of creative energy washed over me. Overlays, alerts, and the overall aesthetic of our streams beckon for a refresh. A dedicated folder stands ready, and the gears in my mind are turning, fuelled by the anticipation of what’s to come.
There’s also a special project in the works, a Beautiful Light video that’s taking shape in a unique way. Inspired by the artistry of ZChum’s Rust videos, I’m determined to elevate my craft. Progress is steady, if not a tad slower than expected, but each step forward is a victory in itself.
October’s journey mirrored its beginning, with the PC posing new challenges. Days, evenings, and weekends were spent in a puzzle of troubleshooting, leading us to the heart of the matter: a hardware issue. Enter MrLorenthal, a knight in shining armor, offering up spare RAM sticks for testing. His generosity and kindness were a beacon of light, even if the solution remained elusive.
The mod team floated a brilliant idea: crowdsource funds for a new build, ensuring a fresh start without the ghosts of this current PC. This effort was meticulously overseen, keeping me in the dark about the progress. To my astonishment, in just eight days, this incredible community rallied together, raising enough for a substantial down payment on a new computer.
I’m at a loss for words to convey the absolute depths of my gratitude. It’s a feeling that defies expression, a sentiment that resonates at the core of my being. The support, love, and guidance from this community have been nothing short of extraordinary. Imposter Syndrome may haunt every creator, but this outpouring of support is a resounding affirmation that we’re on the right path. Thank you all for allowing me to continue living my dream.
The new PC promises to be a monumental leap forward. It’s more than a step – we’re jumping from AM4 to AM5, from DDR4 to DDR5, from 20 series to 40 series. It’s going to be a testament to the challenges and triumphs of the past year in Content Creation. It’s been a wild ride, pushing boundaries and venturing beyond comfort zones, and I’ve relished every moment. With this new powerhouse, there are no more excuses. More content, more streams, and a creative canvas unbound by limitations.
As this chaotic month draws to a close, I want to extend my deepest thanks for being a part of this dream. We’ve come a long way, and the journey ahead is filled with promise and potential. Your support means the world to me, and I am profoundly grateful for all that has transpired thus far.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Azzey
